My Story…
Please join our team and/or donate in honor of my mothah, Michelle Fernandes. LUNGSTRONG is a nonprofit organization with the mission of raising funds for innovative lung cancer research. This event gives 100% of race proceeds and donations to Mass General Cancer Center where she is receiving treatment.
We will gather on Saturday, May 15th at 11:00AM to walk/run together. If you are unable to join us please feel free to walk/run anywhere you want between May 8, 2021 and May 16, 2021
Description
I'm fundraising for LUNGSTRONG because 100% of my donations go directly to lung cancer research at the Massachusetts General Hospital's Cancer Center's Lung Cancer Research Program. Lung Cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in both men and women and across all ethnicities. It's also the least funded based on its mortality rate. And by the way, the only thing you need to get lung cancer is LUNGS!! This disease does not discriminate. In fact over 60% of those who get lung cancer either never smoked or quite decades ago. It's time to fund research for the number 1 cancer killer. Will you join me?
