Hi! 

Those of you who know me, know that I am not quiet about my struggle with mental illness. I am a bit of a Heinz 57; I struggle with complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and binge eating disorder. Over the last 5 years, I have become aware of so many great resources in our community on my journey to healing. Which brings me to another great resource I'd like to mention! 

I will be participating in an Amazing Race type challenge to support this great cause! 

Together with their partners at the Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation and CMHA Windsor-Essex County, the Windsor Corporate Challenge 2021 is supporting Windsor’s First Youth Wellness Hub. Their Youth Wellness Hub will provide health care and social services under one roof, making it easier for young people with mental illnesses and addictions to find help and support. The Youth Wellness Hub gives young people access to someone to talk to, care providers for any health need, and friendly experts to help navigate health and social services, resources, and programs. The Youth Wellness Hub will deliver free, respectful, non-judgmental, and strength-based services in a youth-friendly space. They strive to reach young people earlier so we can help with issues before they become bigger and impact their relationships, school, work or other aspects of their lives.

Please consider donating! It took me into my 30s to learn about what was available right in my neighborhood. I truly hope that no youth has to suffer alone, worry about the stigma associated with mental illness, and feel there is a lack of support available to them.
