Help Cleo raise money

Hi everyone! I’m collecting donations for our GW Healing Clinic, a non-profit organization committed to expanding healthcare access to the vulnerable populations in and around Washington, D.C., regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Because Healing Clinic provides medical services at no cost to vulnerable populations, we rely entirely on donations to continue clinic operations. I volunteer as a Patient Navigator where I connect our patients with local resources that the Healing Clinic cannot provide (eg. mammograms, food insecurity resources, dental care, etc.)

I will be participating in our 8th annual Heel-to-Heal GW Healing Clinic 5K on the weekend of May 7-9th, 2021. If you know me at all, you know that running a 5K (or longer) is something I do most days. However, running THIS 5K in support of the clinic is very meaningful to me. The more years I spend being a "runner", the more I realize that I wouldn't still be healthy and passionate about this sport without a supportive environment this whole time. This includes supportive family, friends, teammates, and coaches... but especially access to healthcare resources! Whenever I've been injured, required x-rays/MRIs, or needed lab work, I've never had to forgo care because I was worried about cost or ability to access it. For that, I am incredibly fortunate. I would be very grateful for any contribution you could make to help keep our clinics running for those in need. It just takes $83 to fund the cost of patient lab tests for an entire night of clinic! All proceeds will go towards clinic operations, including but not limited to, covering the cost of patient lab tests, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms, personal protective equipment, clinic administrative upkeep, and startup costs for our brand new Homeless Medicine Initiative branch.
