Help Matt raise money

For participating in 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism

My Story

I've been a coach since the beginning and it's one of most rewarding things that I get to do. The time commitment is the only hard part, but it's worth every minute - and I get to work alongside my wonderful wife, which is a pretty great bonus to say the least.

I hope you'll start your own team to help raise money for Verge, but if you can't, feel free to make a donation to my team. Everything beyond the registration fee goes toward Verge.

You can run or walk and you can do this remotely or you can attend the race, whatever works for you.

The money will be used to not only sustain the program, but also to expand on it.  The plan is to hire behaviorists, running coaches and to expand into other locations.  The overwhelming demand has Verge turning families away and that's heartbreaking as we see first-hand what this program can do for individuals and families that apply themselves.

So, feel free to join my team, join the Verge team or join my wife's team and raise some money for this cause.  Donations are of course welcome too if running or walking a 5k isn't gonna happen - but it should!!  Get out there and make it happen.  You got this!!

Thanks,

m

Description

Join me in reaching my goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
