Help Stephen raise money

For participating in 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism

My Story

Greetings Family and Friends!

It has been an honor to serve as Global Campuses' Executive Director these past two years. Each day, the inspiration I derive from working with and for the hundreds of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and autism throughout Vermont and New Hampshire keeps me focused on sustaining their dream of pursuing lifelong participant-centered education. Part of that work is raising funds to operate the 12 community campuses hosted at community centers, libraries, community college classrooms, churches, and co-working spaces. This charity event is an integral part of our fundraising goal for 2021.

Global Campuses is thrilled and honored to participate in the 22nd Annual Flutie 5K event through the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism during the week of September 12-17. All funds raised by Global Campus participants, staff, and supporters will go directly toward Global Campuses' educational programming opportunities. I am deeply grateful for your support, as are all our participants from throughout Vermont and western New Hampshire.

Thank you so very, very much!

Our bedrock belief is that ALL people are 100% whole and that each of us struggles and excels with a unique set of challenges and aptitudes. Our education paradigm reorients the experience of disability to a positive life experience, emphasizing ability. You may find out more about us at

Description

Join me in reaching my goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
