My Story
Greetings to the FANTASTIC 14 Family!
We are back and bigger than before!!!
We are the FANTASTIC 14!
We are a group of 14 FANTASTIC Amego, Inc. residences, who have committed to walking/running (in person or virtually) the Flutie Foundation’s “Flutie 5K for Autism: Dougie’s Epic Adventure!” to raise money to support the Flutie Foundation and Amego, Inc.
Participants will be up and moving each day to achieve as many steps as they can! We hope you will support us as we promote a healthy lifestyle of getting up and moving, while raising money and awareness for Amego, Inc! Your donations will help to support Amego, Inc. and the Flutie Foundation. Most importantly, due to our partnership with the Flutie Foundation, 100% of your donations will come directly back to Amego to support your loved ones.
Please consider supporting us in this venture. We will share our progress via social media and via more personal means such as text messages / emails. We are excited to have a chance to make a difference in the lives of children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Residences that are a part of the FANTASTIC 14 team are: Raymond, Karen, Houghton, the Haydens, Birch, Stevens, Upton, Harvard, Joseph, Riverview, Hillside, Smallwood and Saddle Hill!
[whispers] There remains an internal competition going on…so please help our team to raise the most…for bragging rights, of course. We were the AMAZING 8 last year, and we rocked it; but this year, we have enlisted 6 new teams to become the FANTASTIC 14!
Please join us!
Thank you!
The FANTASTIC 14!
Description
Join me in reaching my goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!
Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
