My Story
I'm running the 2021 Flutie 5K for Autism to benefit Team Verge, a nonprofit athletic organization that conducts inclusive team running programs throughout the year.
Team Verge was founded in 2015 to bring the magic of running and the team sport environment to those who could benefit from it most, yet have the least access to it. Our runners are people with and without social, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and motor skills challenges. Expanding limits is the core of Team Verge's goal. We strive to help members break through barriers and make physical, social, and mental connections so that they are always growing...always on the verge of the next level.

Join me in reaching my goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!
Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
