My Story
Every month for a few years, until March 2020, my nephew Marc and I had a monthly sleepover, during which we rode the trains, walked around the city, played a variety of board games (he's so competitive), ate out at his favorite places (Bertuccis or Friendly's especially), and we've had more than a few giggles. He's a social teen who loves people, animals, and the outdoors. Marc has autism. It takes a lot of work for him to fit into this world. Over his life, he has benefited from therapeutic programs like horseback riding and water sports--activities that the Flutie Foundation has helped subsidize. We're grateful for the Foundation's support of Marc and other young people with autism. I invite you to honor Marc with a donation to the Flutie Foundation. I'll be walking with Team Marc on September 12th and any pledge will be gratefully welcomed.

Join me in reaching my goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!
Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
