Our Story
I am running again for my 18 year old son Robbie who has ASD and is very low verbal. Those of you who know Robbie know he is a wonderful young man with a great sense of humor and bigger than life personality. Robbie loves all things Mario & Spongebob, Nichelodion, baseball caps and Amiibos! He loves to laugh and play jokes on people and even though he doesn't talk a lot he is always the loudest one in the room.
This will be my 6th time running the 5K for the Doug Flutie Foundation and my 7th race for this worthy organization. I run for those who can't run and hope that you help support us by either running with us or making a contribution to the race.
We would love you to join our team, be a part of the cheer squad or support us with a donation in any amount. I will be running on September 12, 2021 in person and we would love to see you there cheering us on.

Help our team reach our goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!
Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
