Our Story

Cảm ơn mọi người vào trang gây quỹ cho nhóm Vòng Tay Cha Mẹ Việt của mình. Năm nay mình với mẹ sẽ tham gia Flutie 5K để gây quỹ cho nhóm. Năm ngoái, do COVID, mình chạy treadmill và nhận được rất nhiều hổ trợ của các Cô Chú Bạn Bè và năm nay sau hai năm liên tục chạy treadmill, mẹ O với mình sẽ tham gia chạy 5K trực tiếp tại Farm ở Natick do Flutie Foundation tổ chức nè.

Tổ chức Flutie Foundation đã hổ trợ rất nhiều gia đình mắc hội chứng tự kỷ, bao gồm cả mình đó, Nhớ hồi xưa mới học, mình nhận được máy vi tính của tổ chức này để học. Mình rất biết ơn. Qua thời gian, mẹ cũng tổ chức nhiều hoạt động khác nhau hàng tuần cho mình và các bạn, như nhóm Youth, âm nhạc trị liệu và trống nữa nè nhờ nguồn ngân sách từ Flutie Foundation. Mình rất vui cùng tham gia với các bạn của mình.

Lần này, mình quyết tâm chạy 5K để hi vọng tổ chức Vòng Tay Cha Mẹ Việt có thể có thêm ngân sách để hổ trợ cho các bạn và tổ chức hội Tết sau khi hết dịch.

Thank you everyone for visiting my fund rasing page for the Circle of Vietnamese parents. Together with mom, I will participate in Flutie 5K to raise fund for this group. Last year due to COVID, I did participate virtual 5K on my treadmill and I did receive good support from you all. After two year running on treadmill, mom and I will hope to participate Flutie 5K in person at Lukewarm farm in Natick together with Flutie Foundation friends.

Flutie Foundation has provided tremendous support for many families of children and youth with autismm including mine. I remembered the very first desktop I received from Flutie Foundation for my early journey of learning. I am so thankful. Over time, my mom also organizes tons of activities for my friend and me thanks to the funding from the Flutie Foundation. I am happy to be part of this and to be able to see my friends though via zoom. 

This time, I am determined to run 5K with the hope to raise more fund for the Circle of Vietnamese parents who can have funding to organize Tet event after the pandemic is over.

Help our team reach our goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest! 

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
