Help us raise money

For participating in 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism

Our Story

Flutie 5K:

3LPlace is excited to partner with the Doug Flutie Foundation this year for the Flutie 5K!  This will be the first year that 3LPlace will be running, walking, and skipping their way to the finish line.  All of the proceeds raised go directly to 3LPlace so please consider donating to our team or share this with your friends and family so that we can cast our collective nets far and wide!

If you are interested in joining our team the more the merrier. You can register on this page to walk/run only or to fund raise as well.  Reach out to Cassy Wilson: cwilson@3lplace.org if you have any questions or if you would like to purchase a 3LPlace t-shirt for the day.

A bit about us:

3LPlace was started in 2009 by parents who were looking for meaningful, rich, and full lives for their adult family members with developmental challenges.  Since that time, many individuals and their families have joined the 3LPlace community. Every day 3LPlace encourages our members, our staff, and our larger community to be their best selves. We deliver on our tag line: 3LPlace celebrates neurodiversity, grows your abilities, and helps you to choose your path.

Description

Help our team reach our goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
