Help Art raise money

This September I'll be taking part in hart Edmonton's 2021 Sneakers And Strays event. It's a four day 'virtual' event in which participants can run or walk in support of hart and all the fantastic work they do with rescue dogs in the Edmonton area.

A little bit about hart Edmonton...

The humane animal rescue team (hart) is a non-profit organization committed to:

- Rescuing stray, abandoned, and unwanted dogs from rural areas (including First Nations) surrounding Edmonton, Alberta and placing them in permanent homes.

- Providing programs that promote responsible pet ownership, and prevent cruelty to animals

- Promoting spay and neuter initiatives that reduce the number of unwanted litters.

I have seen countless examples of how hart brings in dogs, gives medical assistance to these dogs - sometimes at great cost to the rescue - and then spends weeks (if not months) providing foster care, following up on medical rehab, as well as working on behaviors that are geared towards socialization, and basic training to prepare rescued dogs for adoption.

hart does amazing work and have had so many success stories over the last two decades. Now more than ever though, they need support from the community to continue on providing some of the best care for dogs in need.
