My Story…
Hi! In registering for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, I wanted to support a charity whose work reflected my values of respect, inclusion, and equality. While there are so many great official charities to choose from, I decided to set my preferred organization as the Anishnawbe Health Foundation. As an Indigenous ally passionate about healthcare access, the AHF directly addresses a lot of issues that are important to me, such as the need for culturally competent care for one of Toronto's most vulnerable communities.
Please join me in supporting the AHF's important work. My goal is to raise $650 for "The Whole Shebang", which is to run a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon (my first ever!) all in the month of October 2021!
Description
Anishnawbe Health Foundation works with generous donors and partners to support improved health and well-being for the Indigenous community in Toronto. We aim to support an environment where the community can heal spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally by enhancing capital and program funding for Anishnawbe Health Toronto.
By making a donation, you will become part of the growing circle of donors in support of reconciliation and ensuring that First Nations, Métis and Inuit people and their families, have access to the medical care and Traditional Healing services they need.
Chi-Miigwech (Big Thank You) for your support.
