Hello!
I am a part of Scarborough Chinese Baptist Church's team in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. We will be running on Oct 17, 2021.
I am running to help support Urban Promise's mission of walking alongside the families in the Toronto Community Housing to help them grow and restore their community through the love of Jesus. Learn more here: Home 3 (urbanpromise.com)

Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
