My Story…
As some of you may know, over the past year my family and I have lost two grandparents (see photos). As hard as that was and is, through their last years we were always happy knowing that they were given the best of care, able to participate in life, and comfortable until the end.
Not all seniors are so lucky, and the social isolation lots of seniors feel, especially through COVID, is tragic to see. Hesperus Village, a housing complex just north of Toronto, does amazing work in providing an affordable place for seniors to live out their days engaging in the community, supporting each other, and enjoying a fulfilling social life.
Please consider donating to Hesperus Village through my fundraising page for this year's Marathon, every dollar makes a difference to these seniors.
Much love,
Elliott
Description
A rich cultural life, in its varied forms, enhances the health and lives of our residents. Social isolation is unfortunately very common for seniors. Together with our residents, we co-create an enlivened and rich social and cultural life to combat the isolation that some encounter due to physical or emotional challenges or even financial constraints. Your donation will fund the costs associated with organizing a series of social and cultural activities throughout the year.
