My Story…
Last week was mental health awareness week in Canada. I am proud to be a part of "Team Glenview," and look forward to participating in the ten kilometre run, part of the Scotiabank Charity Challenge. This Sunday (today!) I will be raising much-needed funds for the outreach programmes in our "Special Fund." Evangel Hall, Portland Place, ARISE, Native Child and Family Services Toronto, and Boarding Homes Ministry (BHM), all places of healing and hope in the city of Toronto, that offer care to people experiencing mental and physical health challenges. They offer non-denominational spiritual support, and advocate for people facing isolation and poverty, many of whom might otherwise experience homelessness. Glenview Presbyterian Church has formed long-standing partnerships with these community organizations, and it was inspirational to see how they pivoted, and continued to provide compassionate care throughout the pandemic. Thank you for considering supporting these incredible Toronto-based outreach programmes!
