My Story…
Working for Matthew House this past year and coming from a family of refugees myself, I've come to know the true meaning of resilience. From the trauma of being forced from your home to not knowing where your children will get their next meal to being in a new and unfamiliar place, I have heard stories of strength and survival. From hot meals to language lessons, the work being done by Matthew House is centered around upholding the dignity of refugees as they become independent, inspiring members of our communities.
While anyone who knows me knows I'm not much of a runner (unless it's for free food or to catch the bus) I'm excited to speed walk to help Matthew House make a home for more and more refugees!
Anything you can contribute, or by simply sharing Matthew House's work to spread awareness does wonders for expanding basic human rights for all. Thank you so much and stay fresh!
