My Story…
Once again the Refugee Support Team at Islington United Church is walking/running in the ScotiaBank event to raise money in support of our incoming refugee individuals and families. Our team will do our virtual walk on October 16th this year in compliance with COVID requirements.
As we know the number of people in the world people displaced by war, and persecution due to their gender and sexual identity, race, religion or cultural membership is increasing daily. Our team supports newcomers for a year to assist them in adapting to life in Canada.
Thank you for any support you can provide to our team this year.
