My Story…
This is my last marathon as Executive Director at NYCH. After 30 years at NYCH, I’ll be retiring in June 2022. I’d like to make this marathon the one that raises the most funds! You can help me do this by donating to my campaign. All funds raised by me and the NYCH team will support innovative children, youth, and family programs. Thank you so much for your support!
Description
Newcomers and their families face numerous barriers to starting their new lives here in Canada. Your kindness will create opportunities for them to settle successfully, thrive in their new settings and become leaders in the community.
Every year, over 17,000 people come through our doors to access the programs and services we offer. Through generous donations like yours, new immigrants and refugees will receive free, one-on-one settlement help; immigrant professionals will develop their skills for workplace success; newcomer youth will feel more welcome in their new schools; families in under-resourced neighbourhoods will be encouraged to get active and stay healthy.
All funds raised by NYCH through the 2021 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon will support innovative children, youth, and family programs – providing opportunities for residents in northwest Toronto to gain confidence, build skills, and lead positive change in their neighbourhoods.
