Help Allan raise money

For participating in 2021 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon

My Story…

LPO and I need your help more than ever this year. 2021 has been another difficult year. All of our other in-person fundraising events have had to be cancelled. While LPO is operated entirely by volunteers, there are some fixed costs to our programs. That’s why I’m asking you to support me, and LPO, with a donation.
In October I’ll be rolling in this Scotiabank "Virtual Marathon" Charity Challenge!
October is also Dwarfism Awareness and Acceptance Month.

To many average height individuals, it's sometimes difficult to imagine the challenges kids of short stature face – challenges with accessibility, school, health, and societal acceptance.  LPO is there to help kids with dwarfism and their parents navigate these challenges.

It would mean so much to me personally if you could support this great cause on my behalf.

As you know I have become deeply involved with the Little People of Ontario (LPO) for the last number of years. I've been privileged to see firsthand the great things this organization has accomplished and in 2016 I took over the helm as president.

LPO is a tremendously important organization with a 56+ year legacy. Operated entirely by volunteers, LPO provides a community & support network, important programs, and information to support little people and their families.  Important programs such as Camp LPO, our Sports Events for Health and Well-being and preparation for the World Dwarf Games depend on this fundraising.

LPO also helps raise awareness and educate the public about dwarfism to foster better inclusion and accessibility. While Dwarfism Awareness and Acceptance Month is celebrated around the world, in October 2020, Bill 211 was introduced into the Ontario Legislature officially declaring October as Dwarfism Awareness and Acceptance Month in Ontario.

Please donate. You will make a difference. Please help. You’ll get a receipt directly from Little People of Ontario as all of your donations will go to work directly for our cause. Scotiabank covers all the other costs.

Be well and stay safe,
Allan
