My Story…
Hi everyone! I am participating in the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon this year to raise funds for the Toronto Chamber Choir. Arts organizations, professional musicians and emerging artists are struggling with to the complete shutdown of performances during the pandemic. Please consider supporting the Toronto Chamber Choir; you will be making a difference to the lives of the musicians who work with us, and helping to keep the rich cultural diversity of our city alive. Thank you!
Description
The Toronto Chamber Choir is a 40 voice amateur choir with a reputation for high quality, historically informed performances of Renaissance and Baroque music. Our Artistic Director, Lucas Harris has led us in exploring the rich cultural diversity of Toronto, and connected our music with topics ranging from architecture, cultural exchanges with China, the music of Moorish Spain, the medieval theory of humours, and the history and work of woman composers through the ages. The choir is also active in training young musicians from the Rosedale School of the Arts, and in providing performance opportunities for emerging professional musicians in Toronto.
