My Story…
Dear Friends and Family,
Between October 1st and 31st I will represent Lumenus Community Services as I participate in the Scotiabank Virtual Marathon by running 5k.
This year we are raising funds for transitional age youth 18-24 years of age. As many as 1 in 4 transitional aged youth suffer with a mental health disorder and many experience a high level of physiological distress. Latest statistics show a marked increase in Ontario youth suicides, substance abuse, eating disorders and anxiety during the pandemic. Lumenus Services can help them now but demands for service and our waitlists are increasing.
I have set my fundraising goal at $10,000. Many of you helped me raise funds for this worthy cause last year and I thank you for your past donations. I am asking for your support again.

To date we have raised an outstanding $93,500 (from donations through this website and lumenus.ca)
This site will continue to accept donations until November 15.
Lumenus provides excellent, accessible and integrated mental health, developmental and community services where every client has the opportunity to be seen, be heard and to be well.
Our FREE, 5 Walk-In Clinics provide brief counselling service. In the aftermath of COVID-19 and with the school opening, we anticipate a spike in demand for mental health counselling services.
