My Story…
I am happy to be walking 5k in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge - Toronto Waterfront Marathon. It gives me special joy, knowing that by walking 5k, raising funds and making a donation myself I am helping our home continues to be a true Home with a Heart for our seniors. I am raising funds for the replacement of our air-cooling and ventilation system! A better air circulation will strengthen our prevention against COVID-19 and any other viruses today and in the future. With the new system, we will also save money, which now go into the constant repair work of the old one, and will be able to invest this money back into the care, programs and services for our seniors! Please support my participation and let's together go the extra mile for our seniors! They so justly deserve it!

The Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre is dedicated to serving the needs of seniors and meeting the demands of a growing senior population with care and compassion. We take care of frail seniors, faced with multiple health issues, including Alzheimer’s and other dementias. We run a social program for seniors from the community, helping them stay active and connected.
During this time of pandemic, your support will help us protect the lives of many seniors, helping them stay safe and connected.
