My Story…
In May of this year my partner Caitlin Pratt was diagnosed with breast cancer. No matter how unfair, wrong, or unbelievable this felt, it did not change the fact that she does have cancer. This has been the hardest year of my entire life. Running has given me some solitude during the hard times we've encountered. Watching caitlin get poked and prodded, fight through chemotherapy, live with the side effects has been inspiring like nothing I've ever seen before. I absolutely hate that she has had to go through this, but also feel fortunate I've gotten to truly see who she is in so many different ways. I love her, and I am dedicating this run to her and raising money for Princess Margaret hospital where she has been treated.
Description
I'm running for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Currently, COVID-19 is putting unprecedented stress and pressure on Canada's healthcare system, frontline workers and patients. At the Princess Margaret, our cancer patients and survivors are particularly vulnerable, especially those with compromised immune systems. In an effort to take action against these challenges, we remain dedicated in our vision to Conquer Cancer, and with your support we can raise funds to continue ground breaking research, clinical trials and treatment at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
Thank you so much for your support and with your help, we will CONQUER CANCER IN OUR LIFETIME!
