My Story…
Hello everyone,
Thank you for supporting my run this year (my 5th in as many years) to fundraise for North York Community House - a respected and award-winning charity in Toronto that provides so much important and vital programs and services to support the vibrancy, strength and resiliency of our communities and neighbourhoods. I recognize that the COVID19 pandemic has been very challenging for all of us, so I would greatly appreciate any donation that you can contribute. Funds raised for NYCH this year will be dedicated towards programs and services for children in marginalized communities in parts of the city.

Newcomers and their families face numerous barriers to starting their new lives here in Canada. Your kindness will create opportunities for them to settle successfully, thrive in their new settings and become leaders in the community.
Every year, over 17,000 people come through our doors to access the programs and services we offer. Through generous donations like yours, new immigrants and refugees will receive free, one-on-one settlement help; immigrant professionals will develop their skills for workplace success; newcomer youth will feel more welcome in their new schools; families in under-resourced neighbourhoods will be encouraged to get active and stay healthy.
All funds raised by NYCH through the 2021 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon will support innovative children, youth, and family programs – providing opportunities for residents in northwest Toronto to gain confidence, build skills, and lead positive change in their neighbourhoods.
