Help Us Reach Our Goal So No One Has To Face Cancer Alone
We are participating in this year’s Virtual Scotiabank Run and Charity Challenge for Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto, an organization supporting those impacted by cancer and those bereaved from the loss of a loved one to cancer.Gilda’s Club has transitioned their free cancer support programs to virtual and continue to provide online support groups, exercise classes, nutrition showcases and other programs that are essential since the onset of COVID-19. Please consider supporting us in this event so that no one faces cancer alone.
We will be doing the Hat Trick event this year meaning combined we will run a 5k, 10k and half marathon. Please support Jordan in running his second half marathon and Taelor in running a 5k and her first 10k.
Description
Please support me as I participate in the Scotiabank Waterfront Run for Gilda's Club Greater Toronto who provides cancer support programs free of charge to adults, teens/children as well as their families who are experiencing cancer-related stress. Due to COVID-19, there has never been a more significant time to donate. This year’s event is crucial as those impacted by cancer need Gilda's Club now more than ever. Registrations for programs have increased by 59% since the onset of COVID-19. This pandemic, the forced isolation and extraordinary uncertainties have had a tremendous impact on Gilda's Club members who are living with and experiencing cancer related stress. By donating you will make it possible for cancer patients and their families to access and receive the support they need to relieve stress, reduce isolation & provide resources to help them through this increasingly difficult time. Funds raised will maintain the cancer support groups/programs as their team of licensed health professionals have modified these programs to virtual platforms. Thanks for helping to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.
