Hard to believe that over 21 years ago we were told our firstborn, Jack, was born deaf.  Not knowing where to start and what would lie ahead for our family we moved forward seeking out connections that would help us on our journey.  

That is why we are so passionate about parent to parent support and specifically IL Hands & Voices Guide By Your Side.  All families who have a child diagnosed as deaf or hard of hearing now have access to free one on one support form our program.  Giving them a "go to" person, a safe place to ask questions and find resources without feeling pressured to go one way or another.  That's why I love our IL H&V motto of "What works for your child is what makes the choice right."
