Welcome to team Haines AK!
For me personally, ICP Care has been the most helpful and useful resource when it came to learning about my ICP diagnosis and helped me advocate for both of my baby's medical needs and safety. I'm very passionate about spreading awareness and supporting this amazing organization.
For those of you unfamiliar with Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP) it is a pregnancy condition that can be fatal to the baby if not properly treated. With how little awareness there is, many women go undiagnosed and untreated, which means that these baby's lives are at risk! Increasing awareness can help more women get proper diagnosis and treatment, and potentially save lives!
Although small, Haines has actually had several ICP mamas and babies, by participating and/or donating you are doing so in honor of the following ICP mothers and ICP babies:
