My Story…
It has been two months since giving birth to my second daughter, and I find myself more inspired than ever. I want to lead by example and demonstrate healthy self-esteem and care for my postpartum body, and share my compassion and altruistic interest in global affairs with my children and my community.
The 2021 Run 2 End Poverty (R2EP) is an opportunity for me to celebrate physical wellness and to raise awareness for global poverty issues and support Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Canada’s programs to eliminate the root causes of poverty and inequality.
Recognizing that climate change has a considerable impact on poverty levels and disproportionately affects marginalized groups, this year’s R2EP will primarily focus on raising awareness around environmental sustainability as an important step towards ending global poverty and proceeds will be used towards finding permanent solutions to problems caused by climate change.
Please support my cause & STEP UP FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.
This year the run will be held virtually on the weekend of the United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, October 16th and 17th 2021.
Participation is inclusive to all kinds of physical activity, so you can walk, do yoga, or dance, or take up the challenge and participate in one of the set distances available for a range of activities.
Thank you for your support!
