My Story:
Hello friends, family, teammates, coworkers, neighbors and acquaintances!
I'm participating in the "Cere-Bration Walk. Roll. Run" - not just for my team, but to create one big voice for brain injury awareness! More than 1.5 million Americans sustain a traumatic brain injury (TBI) each year. While TBIs are often "invisible injuries," they can have life-changing consequences. The most common outcomes include impaired cognitive functioning, anxiety and depression, unemployment and homelessness, substance abuse, isolation, loss of independence, and in many cases, death.
I am asking YOU to please consider donating through my team (BRAIN TRAIN) to raise money for the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts. Any amount is so greatly appreciated! You can donate to my subpage directly or Venmo me @SaraMitchell_). My team (and hundreds of others) will be running/walking a 5k this Saturday Sept 25th in support of TBI survivors and their family members.
Last year the women’s Tufts Cross Country team and the Tufts Pre-PA Society contributed and participated in the fundraiser, so a sincere thank you to both groups. Please pass along to whoever you think would be interested in this fundraiser!
