My Story…
Luke’s Army
Everyone has a purpose. These are mine.
Purpose #1: To help other people, especially those who can’t help themselves. I believe God has blessed me with skills to help people through my career as a project manager and fundraiser. I have used these skills for the last 13 years at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, raising funds to provide the best care possible for all of our patients and families. I find peace and comfort in knowing that I am given the opportunity to fight for the care children deserve by helping to fund the best resources and technology.
Purpose #2: To be a mom. If you know me, you know that being a mom is everything to me. I adore my children. They are my world! I would do anything for them; I would fight to the ends of the world for them.
On November 10, 2014, Luke was taken away from us. I wasn’t given the chance to fight for him, or even the chance to say goodbye.
Do I still have a purpose? The same purpose?
Yes and Yes! Not only will I continue to be the best mom possible to my sweet Zayne and Gage, but I will also be the best mom to Luke’s legacy.
I will recruit people into his army and encourage people to fight for other children in Luke’s memory. I will continue to fundraise for Le Bonheur – the hospital that saves lives and gives hope.
Please join Luke’s Army of supporters and support our mission to help others!
