My Story…
I have been a LeBonheur patient for several years. When I was 2 and 3 years old, I had a resistant infection in my right ear. I spent several days in the hospital getting IV antibiotics and had a mastoidectomy. The infection made me lose my eardrum too. When I was 4 I got another infection that required a hospital stay and a PICC line so my parents could give me IV antibiotics at home. I lost a lot of my hearing so when I was 5 I got a cool bone conduction hearing aid. This summer, I had a tympanoplasty which means I got a new eardrum! Dr. Long and now Dr. MacDonald have worked so hard to make me better! The ENT clinic at LeBonheur, as well as the inpatient nurses, helped us so much. We love LeBonheur and we are so thankful for everything they’ve done to help me ♥️
