Over the last year, I have had the privilege of getting to know a grassroots community development organization in Waterloo called Adventure4Change, through my MSW student placement, and staying on board and now working with them!

A4C recognizes the barriers that the pandemic has introduced for youth in the communities they serve.  They are committed to programming and initiatives aimed to build confidence: in school, at home, on the basketball court, in the job market and in the neighbourhood. To make this happen, Adventure4Change needs your help.

I’m asking if you would consider donating to Move4Hope II, Adventure4Change’s 2^nd annual campaign bike, walk, or run.

Through this fundraiser, we want to raise $20K to support the youth in this community by: 

1) Preparing the Neighbourhood Hub (home away from home) 

2) Establishing mentorship + tutoring programs 

3) Providing meaningful recreation (sports, arts, dance)

To keep the doors of the Neighborhood Hub open and continue to mobilize the community from within takes resources that are currently strained and competitive in the aftermath of the pandemic. Investing in youth through Adventure4Change can have an impact for years and generations to come.
