November is Woman Abuse Prevention Month 

There is no better time than now to be raising money and awareness to #HelpKeepHerSafe. Join me as I run 10km to change the lives of women in our community.

In Ontario during the month of November, the 'Wrapped in Courage' campaign encourages us to wear a purple scarf as a symbol of the courage it takes a woman to leave her abuser. We need more than courage to end violence against women. We need the community to come together and take action.

67% of Canadians know a woman directly who has experienced physical or sexual abuse. Approximately every 6 days, a woman in Canada is killed. Tragically, we know these numbers have increased as a result of the global pandemic.

Your Support is helping a woman to leave her abuser and find safety for her and her children. 

Your Support is providing counselling to a woman who has experienced abuse. 

Your Support is helping women the skills and tools they need for meaningful employment.

Your Support is helping to empower her to take greater control of her personal finances.

Your Support is empowering women with the life skills she needs to set boundaries, communicate her needs, develop her confidence, and become the person she wants to be.
