My Story…
My name is Sydney (Ney/Nem/Nir) and I am the Education Lead at Trans Wellness Ontario!
I am queer, transgender, nonbinary, agender, and asexual. I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Music at the University of Windsor, and am currently studying my second undergraduate degree in Women & Gender Studies, with a minor in Political Science. I am an activist and leader within many spaces and communities in Windsor and beyond. I am also an educator, motivational speaker, and voice for those who are often erased. I have served on many committees and groups for issues around the environment, mental health, queer and trans rights, and youth voices. I am a pianist by trade, but I also sing soprano and play flute. My hobbies include reading books and cuddling with my cat, Natasha.
I love working at Trans Wellness Ontario because I am able to provide education to dismantle systemic injustice and make life better for trans folx in our community and beyond.
I'm so excited to participate in Run for Rocky again - this is a fantastic organization that cares deeply about our community and supporting local queer and trans folks, especially youth.
Want to make a contribution? I am aiming to raise $200!
