Hello Friends!!
On Saturday August 27th, 5 crazy ladies, along with myself will be participating in The 5k Foam Fest proudly supporting Make A Wish! We are also doing this to honor the memory of our friend, Michele Garvey who recently lost her battle with cancer, hence, our team name, "Michele's Belles". Although I've only set our goal to raise $100, wouldn't it be amazing if we could hit $1000, and I think we can, with a little help from you, our friends! This amazing charity is one of our personal favorites and when you donate, all monies get directly deposited to The Make a Wish Foundation, be sure to mention our team name, "Michele's Belles". The event is FREE to watch and is being held at 4200 Malden Rd @ Malden Park. All spectators and cheer squads are welcomed so come on out and watch as we crawl through the mud, scale walls, maneuver through webs made of rope plus many other obstacles. Come cheer us on! Our start time is at 12:00p.m!!

Bennet is a seven-year-old boy who loves tacos, pizza, Lego, SpongeBob, bubble-gum ice cream, his PlayStation, the Toronto Maple Leafs, playing superheroes with his brother and all things outdoors like camping, fishing, hiking and gardening with his Dad. Bennett was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, which no child should ever have to face. When it came time to his wish, it was no surprise that Bennet picked a camping trailer. “I love camping and going on cool adventures, and it’s like a house” says Bennet. The most important part of his wish was spending time with his family. “We were all so overwhelmed as we watched Bennet head into his Wish Day! It went perfectly and Bennet was overcome with shock and joy!’ says wish mom Justine. “After going through a cancer diagnosis, treatment and now navigating the lifelong effects of the chemotherapy at such a young age, it was so exciting for Bennet and us to have the focus shift to something fun for our family! We love camping and the outdoors and receiving the trailer opened up so many doors for adventure in the years to come! We are so grateful for the joy and excitement this wish has provided for our family”.
