My Story…
As many of you know I have two awesome, courageous, and loving boys John Paul and Joey, who both have a diagnosis of Autism. They are one of the reasons I wake up every morning at 3am and run. I try to be be better everyday because of them.
You’ve probably seen the bumper stickers, Facebook posts and the t-shirts calling for “Autism Awareness.” But as parents of children on the Autism Spectrum continually insist, our society is aware of autism. It’s autism acceptance that we need. To become a more inclusive society will take advancements in access to services, affordable health care, employment opportunities, Health Care expansion, fair pay, and more opportunities for quality education.
I am running for Autism Speaks because this charity:
Increases global understanding & acceptance of people with autism
It is a catalyst for life-enhancing research breakthroughs
This organization helps to Increase early childhood screening & timely interventions
It Improves the transition to adulthood
Ensuring access to reliable information & services throughout the life span
Donate to help Emidio raise money for Around the Bay Road Race’s fundraising campaign.
