My Story…
Hello Friends and Family, You all know how much I love to run! I have competed in many races and also represented my high school in OFSAA twice. Just recently I started training again and have joined Team Cardiology. Around the Bay is an annual tradition in Hamilton and I am happy to participate and raise money for an amazing hospital that my mom works at, St. Joseph's Healthcare. My Nonno Sammy was also a patient at St. Joseph's and received excellent care. I will be running for him on March 27th. Welcome to my fundraising page!
I’m very excited to be participating in the 2022 Around the Bay Road Race (ATB) in support of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation. This cause is very important to me because St. Joe’s is in many ways the heart of Hamilton – nearly everyone in our community has been touched by the incredible patient care they provide, and inspired by the bravery the Hospital’s care teams showed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Funds raised through this year’s Bay Race will support the expansion and renewal of our Emergency Mental Health Services – a service that has never been more important than it is right now as we all cope with the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. As well, funds raised will bring us one step closer to creating a new CT Suite in our busy Emergency Department. A CT Suite in the ER will help our patients get the answers they need quickly while also helping our Hospital to catch up on the backlog of diagnostic imaging procedures put on hold during the peaks of the pandemic.
I hope that you’ll consider supporting me as I take on the Around the Bay Road Race and raise funds for St. Joe’s.
