The Ecologos Environmental Organization is a 24-year defender of water and a liveable climate and is best known for its annual Water Docs Film Festival and spin-off programs. Our programs reconnect people with deeply felt experiences, and nourish a commitment to action for water, a liveable climate, and a sustainable future. We do so by dedicating ourselves to protecting water and a liveable climate using documentary storytelling and experiential learning to reconnect people with deeply felt experiences, and nourish a commitment to action for water, a liveable climate, and a sustainable future.
The Ecologos Environmental Organization and its partners are committed to helping people on their journey to build a more sustainable future for generations to come. We do so by dedicating ourselves to promoting positive solutions to the climate crisis. We fulfil our mission as an organization through storytelling via documentary film and the arts, as well as experiential learning to revive a sense of reverence for, address threats to, and inspire action toward the protection of water and a liveable climate for all.
We are currently fundraising for a new project called #LaterNoMore: Activating Climate Solutions Now! Through 6 dynamic edutainment videos (12-15 min) the #LaterNoMore project will showcase innovative solutions for each of the 6 main challenge areas contributing to climate change. These videos will be delivered through a series of platforms to reach a broad spectrum of the general Canadian population.
Delivery Platforms
- Lesson Plans for Students will be created for students aged 12-18 and marketed through our partner Learning for a Sustainable Future (LSF)
- An online Social Media Campaign will be aggressively marketed via all channels and an interactive website
- Film Festivals and Film Screening Events will be marketed nationally through existing networks
- Community Town Hall Meetings will take place at the local level and engage community organizations and their members
