My Story…
Just after Father's Day 2016, my Dad was diagnosed with vascular dementia – a disease that affects over half a million Canadians nationwide. From this day forward, life as we knew it changed forever.
1 in 5 Canadians have experience caring for someone living with dementia - my experience began earlier in life, and it's taught me a lot... With this, and all of life's uncertainties, I am grateful and blessed to have found my solace in running. On Sunday, October 16, I'm running the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon - my first full marathon - and I've tied this to The Alzheimer Society of Toronto in order to raise some funds.
The Alzheimer Society exists to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's and related diseases and to promote the search for causes, treatments and a cure.
Donate to help Amy raise money for 2022 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon’s fundraising campaign.
