My Story…
My fundraising vision is to match the year ($2,022). Your support will in turn will benefit every person who turns to Anishnawbe Health for culturally safe services that include spiritual well-being, mental health, physiotherapy, substance abuse support, family and trans-spirit support, through primary care, mobile health, youth outreach, traditional teachings and community education.
I began race-walking about five years ago after the back pain I was struggling with turned out to be a degenerative disc. Running was no longer an option. Walking, I was delighted to learn, is actually therapeutic. Now I am signed up to Race Walk the 21.1 km Half-Marathon.
We're the tortoises who catch up to the hares.
Please join me in supporting Anishnawbe Health so that First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people living on these traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat nations can continue to walk with spirit in health and beauty.
Chi miigwech, my deepest gratitude, if you are able to offer a donation.
