My Story…
This September marks the start of my 3rd year with UrbanPromise Toronto and I am so grateful to be a part of this life changing work!
UrbanPromise Toronto commits to a 20 year relationship with children and their families living in Toronto Community Housing, to overcome the obstacles poverty creates. We do this through our year round After School Programs, March Break and Summer Camps, and Leadership Opportunities for Youth.
We start at age 5, with kids just like my little Joshua, and are there for them until adulthood at age 25. As Bernard and I parent, I think about our UrbanPromise Toronto kids where 80% come from single parent homes and how essential a community of care is.
We are running 5k to create possibilities for children and youth living in Toronto Community Housing! Thank you for your support as I seek to raise $3000!
