My Story…
This year I'm participating in the 5K to support refugee initiatives at North York Community House (NYCH)! I've worked at NYCH since September 2021 and have been so impressed by the outstanding work my colleagues are doing in the community. This year, we are fundraising specifically for refugee initiatives as the need continues to grow. NYCH has been supporting families and individuals who have been forced to flee their homes and countries because of violence, war and persecution with specialized programs and services.
At NYCH we not only support children, youth, adults, and seniors settle into their new lives in Canada but also work together to find ways to heal from the trauma of war and displacement, building communities where all belong and thrive.
I hope you'll donate what you can to help us reach our goal. Every donation will go towards re-building lives.
