My Story…
Romero House has been close to my heart since I was a teenager, when I started coming to liturgies with my dad. I have remained part of the community for the last 20 years, serving as a Worker, volunteer and neighbour, and now feel very blessed to have stepped into the role of Executive Director.
Every day, we support newly-arrived refugee claimants find safety and wellbeing through housing, settlement support, and community. We do this in a spirit of accompaniment, as good neighbours do.
I am running in the 5Km Waterfront Marathon race to ensure we can keep offering this support. Especially now, there is not enough shelter space for refugees and Romero House plays a key role in finding emergency housing. Please donate today to support our work.
