My Story…
As an Early Childhood Educator, I’ve always paid closer attention to all my children’s milestones compared to my husband. From when Ember was six months old, I’ve felt something was different with her but I thought I’ll give her a a bit more time since she was still very young. She was always behind on meeting her milestones so I’ve requested for her to seek further tests.
She was eventually diagnosed as ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) at 2 1/2 and it was really hard on us. We cried and we asked WHY! But we are thankful because she’s healthy, always smiley, a bright and fast learner.
We came across AIM through our friend and have decided to send Ember there for therapy. With only a few sessions, Ember has become more open and less shy.
We are asking you to join and or support Ember to our first Biggest Fundraiser of the Year; 2022 “TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon”. To help us give children an equal opportunity to education with barrier. Last year’s fundraiser helped over 300 children!
THANK YOU for your support and generosity!
