My Story…
In 2016, my dad (Bill Seaman) passed away after a long multi-year battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia. It was an experience I wish on no family, however, if anything it raised my own awareness on how pervasive this disease is, and how many families and individuals it affects.
I am running to celebrate some of the values my late father instilled in his kids and grandkids - that of perseverance and determination during hard times and difficult situations - and also to seize the opportunity to fundraise for an organization that can have an impact on so many other families outside my own. Any donation no matter how small or large is appreciated and will contribute towards supporting families and the research for a cure.
The Alzheimer Society of Toronto offers support, information, programs and education to people living with dementia, their families and their caregivers, to increase public awareness of dementia, to promote research, and to advocate for services that respect the dignity of the individual.
Donate to help Tom raise money for 2022 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon’s fundraising campaign.
