Help us raise money

Hello Everyone! 

As you may know, Allie and I have been running/hiking for quite some time and earlier this year we decided that we were going to put all of our training to the test. Initially we had decided on a 5KM race and that we would run to support Autism research in some way.  After doing some research we decided that the Toronto Marathon 5km would be good as Autism Speaks was one of the organizations we could sponsor. I let Allie know that there were different distances we could do and gave her the option of 5KM or 21KM (half marathon), and with little to no hesitation Allie said "why not, lets do the 21" so...here we are! Allie never ceases to amaze me and this situation was no different. It is a true honor to support Allie through this journey and I cannot wait to see her tackle the training and the race with her big smile and amazing attitude. 

A note from Allie: 

"Hi everyone! My name is Allie Webster.  I am 27 years old. I am from a small town called Collingwood in Ontario. I have two brothers and one sister. I am the second child. I also have three stepsisters. I am running for Autism Speaks. 

The reason why raising money for autism is so important to me is because I am on the spectrum myself. I have faced many challenges in my life. Many times I felt like giving up. But with support and encouragement, I have been able to fight through and emerge a champion. I believe that raising awareness for autism will allow others on the spectrum to find their voice and accomplish many things, just like I have. I want them to know that their autism can be a gift!"
