Since 1977, WCYR has served women experiencing gender-based violence and socioeconomic barriers to success. Our mission is using a strengths-based, trauma-informed feminist approach, we provide opportunities, support and resources to all persons who identify as women on their journey of self-discovery and empowerment. WCYR provides free counselling and life-skill group programming to help women build a sustainable livelihood and live free from abuse.

As the world reopens, women are seeking to regain their economic and social independence and WCYR can provide the wrap-around support they need.
