Our story…
Save Your Skin Foundation helped my cousin Vanessa's late husband Larry so much as he battled uveal melanoma.
After years of treatments it came to a point where Larry had the option to do a trial drug to help prolong his life. This required weekly treatments in another province for a minimum of 12 weeks.
With both Larry and Vanessa out of work during the pandemic, the commute and accommodations were a huge stressor for them.
Save Your Skin Foundation provided Larry with plane tickets and a hotel room each week so he was able to get his treatment.
With their generosity and amazing care Larry was able to get to his weekly hospital visits as easy as possible.
As a cancer survivor herself, founder Kathleen was a pillar of support and huge advocate for Larry and we are all forever grateful for all their help.
