Our story…
WMRCC of Durham is a charitable organization established in 1993 to provide culturally sensitive supportive programs and services to women of all ages, youth and children, immigrants and newcomers from diverse backgrounds with lived experiences of violence and trauma. The funds raised through our partner Children's Aid Foundation of Canada, would further enable the organization to continue to deliver trauma informed counselling to vulnerable children and youth who experienced violence and abuse.
Description
We are running in support of Children's Aid Foundation of Canada to raise critical funds to strengthen families and support children and youth involved in child welfare.
Your donation supports the delivery of high-impact programs that directly serve children and youth across Canada who have experienced or live at risk of abuse and neglect. Through these transformative programs, families are strengthened so they can keep kids at home, young people in care are provided access to enrichment opportunities like camp, sports and the arts, and youth aging out of the child welfare system are empowered to overcome their trauma and create a life for themselves filled of unstoppable successes.
